3 men slain in 3 Quezon shooting incidents

LUCENA CITY – Three men were shot and killed in three separate shooting incidents in Sariaya, Tiaong and Pagbilao towns in Quezon province on Sunday, police said Monday.

A report from the Quezon police office said Celso Mar Exconde, 50, was gunned down while walking home in Barangay (village) Talisay in Tiaong around 10:30 p.m. Police said an unidentified gunman repeatedly shot Exconde. The gunman fled on foot after the shooting.

In Pagbilao, farmer Anthony Elarde, 56, was also gunned down in a remote part of Barangay Ibabang Polo around 6 p.m. The victim died on the way to the hospital from a fatal bullet wound on the right part of his chest.

Police identified the suspected gunman as Randy Riva, alias “Jayson,” who used a still unidentified firearm in the shooting. The suspect was still at large as of Monday.

In Sariaya, an unidentified gunman shot and killed Allan Albuena, 45, while in front of his house in Barangay Limbon early morning. Police said the suspect repeatedly shot the victim with a still unknown firearm at close range, killing him instantly.

Investigations on all shooting incidents continued as of Monday.
