ITCZ to affect parts of Visayas, Mindanao; rainshowers expected

Parts of Visayas and Mindanao will be affected by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) on Sunday, the state weather bureau said.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm is expected over the whole region of Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Zamboanga Peninsula due to the ITCZ.


Pagasa also warned residents of the said areas to prepare for possible floodings or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

The Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy skies to at times cloudy with rainshowers or thunderstorm but due to localized thunderstorms. /je
