Hypertension tops health concerns for Manila North Cemetery visitors

Hypertension proved to be a major health concern for visitors to the Manila North Cemetery on Thursday, All Souls’ Day, according to the Manila Health Department (MHD).

Records from the MHD showed that out of the 62 persons assisted by the department as of 1 p.m., 30 were treated for hypertension.

A doctor from the MHD who declined to be identified, told INQUIRER.net that those treated were adults and senior citizens.

The doctor also advised those who will be making last minute visits to the cemeteries to bring along their medicines.

“Kung may high blood, wag pumunta ng tanghali at magdala rin ng tubig,” she said.

“Maintenance drugs should be taken before coming here,” the doctor added.

Aside from hypertension, MHD doctors at the Manila North Cemetery also treated visitors who complained of dizziness, asthma, and constipation. /muf
