DPWH to conduct repairs on Edsa, C-5, other QC roads Nov. 2 – 5

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be doing road reblocking and repairs in some portions of Edsa, the C-5 Road, and other major roads in Quezon City from 11 p.m. of Friday until Monday morning.

In an advisory, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) advised motorists to take alternative routes and avoid the affected areas:

1. (Southbound) C-5 Road after Lanuza Avenue
2. (Southbound) C-5 Road near SM Aura (2nd outermost lane)
3. (Southbound) Edsa Sct. Albano – after Sct. Borromeo (3rd lane from sidewalk)
4. (Northbound) Edsa before Oliveros Footbridge – before Globe Master 2nd lane before Times St., before UCCP 1st lane
5. (Northbound) Roosevelt Ave. cor. Baler St. (1st lane from sidewalk)
6. (Southbound) West Ave. Baler St. to Examiner St. (1st lane from sidewalk)
7. (Northbound) Visayas Ave. Road 1 intersection (half of 2nd to 3rd lane from sidewalk)
8. Commonwealth Ave. near Pedestrian footbridge and near Jocfer Bldg. and along Comm. near N. Zuzuaregui St.

All affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday, November 5, MMDA said.

Meanwhile, Manila Water Co. Inc., will also undertake pavement restoration which will close one lane in front of Solace along C-5 Southbound on 10 p.m. of Friday. The lane will be passable by 4 a.m. of Monday, MMDA said. /muf
