Visitors have started to arrive early at the Manila South Cemetery in Makati City to visit their departed loved ones on Friday, All Souls’ Day.

Vendors are also busy outside the cemetery selling flowers and candles to visitors.

Piles of trash could be seen all over the cemetery and even on roads leading up to it that were left by individuals who have visited the cemetery on the previous days.

Meanwhile, Police officers and traffic enforcers have been deployed in the area to assist the crowd.

On Thursday, during the observance of All Saints’ Day, some 360,589 individuals were reported to have visited the cemetery, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).  /muf
