GAMU, Isabela — An 18-year-old student drowned in shoulder-deep floods that submerged a cornfield in Barangay (village) District 3 at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Judeil Kyle Magat was fished out at 6:30 p.m. and was rushed to the Isabela Provincial Hospital where he was declared dead by the attending doctor.

Magat and his friends swam and fished at the waters flooding the cornfield. But Magat disappeared in the waters when he tried to cross the fields, said Senior Supt. Mariano Rodriguez, Isabela provincial police director. /je
