More than 330K visitors at Manila’s 4 main cemeteries on All Saints’ Day
More than 330,000 visitors were recorded to have entered the four main cemeteries of Manila as of 10:00 a.m., Thursday, the Manila Police District (MPD) said.
A report from the MPD District Tactical Operations Center showed that some 334,548 visitors have entered the four major cemeteries of Manila.
The Manila North Cemetery in Santa Cruz, Manila recorded the most number of visitors at 292,280, followed by the Manila South Cemetery in Makati City with 24,068 visitors.
About 17,100 individuals have entered the La Loma Cemetery while the Manila Chinese Cemetery has 1,200 visitors.
The police have also confiscated a high number of banned items from visitors, including 220 packs of cigarettes, 220 flammable items, 55 bladed weapons and 11 gardening tools at the Manila North Cemetery.
Meanwhile, 65 flammable items, 39 bladed weapons, 13 gardening tools, two packs of playing cards and 38 other items were confiscated at the Manila South Cemetery. /muf
