Typhoon ‘Rosita’ : 15 dead, 6 missing, 50,000 in shelters
Typhoon “Rosita” (international name Yutu) has left at least 15 people dead in its aftermath, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Thursday.
As of 6 a.m. Thursday, data from the NDRRMC showed 15 dead, six missing, and three injured from Central Luzon, Cordillera and Calabarzon.
Around 111,000 persons were affected by the typhoon. Some 50,000 persons still remain in shelters.
“Rosita” made landfall in Isabela early Tuesday and swamped Northern and Central Luzon before it left the Philippine area of responsibility the following day. /muf
