MPD: Over 24K visitors inside Manila’s 4 main cemeteries as of 7 a.m.

The Manila Police District (MPD) has monitored more than 24,000 visitors to Manila’s four main cemeteries, as of 7 a.m. Thursday, the first day of ‘Undas, All Saints’ Day.

A report from the MPD’s District Tactical Operations Center showed some 24,275 visitors entering the four major cemeteries of Manila.

The Manila North Cemetery in Santa Cruz, Manila recorded the most number of visitors at 20,550, followed by the Manila South Cemetery in Makati City with 3,000 visitors.

Meanwhile while the Manila Chinese Cemetery has 500 visitors and about 225 have entered the La Loma Cemetery.

Police also confiscated a number of banned items from visitors, including 155 packs of cigarettes and 55 bladed weapons at the Manila North Cemetery.

Meanwhile, 60 flammable items, 25 bladed weapons, one pack of playing cards and 18 other items were confiscated at the Manila South Cemetery. /muf
