Junjun Binay seeks court OK for HK Disneyland trip
Former Makati Mayor Junjun Binay has asked for permission from the Sandiganbayan to go to Hong Kong from Nov. 16 to 19 to attend his daughter’s gymnastics competition and take his four children to a theme park.
In a three-page urgent motion for authority to travel, Binay said his youngest child, Maria Kennely, was part of the Club Gymnastica Pasig Inc. delegation to the Hong Kong Gymnastics Carnival on Nov. 17 and 18.
While there, Binay said he would want to bring his children to Hong Kong Disneyland on Nov. 16.
Binay, together with his father and predecessor, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, currently faces multiple graft and falsification charges in connection with the alleged rigged bidding for the P2.29-billion Makati City Hall Parking Building II and the P1.35-billion Makati Science High School projects. —Vince F.
