Demonstrators marched through Squirrel Hill in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States yesterday, Oct. 30, protesting President Donald Trump’s visit to the Tree of Life Synagogue where, three days earlier, a gunman killed 11 worshippers.
Marchers carried signs exhorting President Trump to denounce white nationalism and demanding he change policies that target immigrants and refugees.
One protester, Matt Rubin (@MtthewRubiin), took to Twitter to share a video of the march.
I'm walking at the front of this march to do social media things crying my eyes out because I'm just realizing I have not felt safe until if saw the streets of Squirrel Hill filled with people together in solidarity.#PittsburghStrong#EndWhiteNationalism pic.twitter.com/44Xu1almEU

The march was held at the same time as the President and First Lady Melania Trump’s visit to the Tree of Life Synagogue. They laid stones and flowers at the memorial to the victims of the weekend shooting.
Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto on Monday, Oct. 29 asked President Trump not to visit the city before consulting victims’ families, as reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette yesterday. KM
