A tire of a provincial bus exploded as it negotiates the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) on late Wednesday afternoon, the Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (IACT) said.

Fortunately, no one got hurt during the incident.

The IACT said it has yet to get to the bottom of the issue that caused the tire of the Buenasher Transport Corporation bus to explode, as of this posting, but some passengers claimed the overloading of the vehicle could have led to it.

But NLEX enforcers have already been deployed to the area — near Meycauayan Exit — to manage the incident, the IACT noted.  /kga
