Teen busted as he tries to ‘smuggle’ marijuana in Manila South Cemetery

A senior high school student was arrested for allegedly trying to sneak marijuana in to the Manila South Cemetery, the Manila Police District (MPD) said Wednesday.

Police identified the suspect as Neil Aldabe, 19. He was accosted by authorities around 3:30 p.m. after yielding 19 sachets of marijuana.

MPD Director Supt. Ronald Anduyan told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview that Aldabe tried to conceal the sachets of marijuana in his automatic umbrella but was busted during inspection as he enters the cemetery.

According to Anduyan, the teenager was brought to MPD Police Station 6 to undergo “inquisition.”
