A magnitude 3.4 earthquake jolted South Cotabato on Wednesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said in a bulletin that the tremblor hit 12 kilometers (km) southwest of Polomolok at 7:27 a.m.
It was felt at Intensity III in Polomolok and Tupi in South Cotabato, and at Intensity II in General Santos City.
An Instrumental Intensity I was recorded in Alabel, Sarangani.
The tremblor, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of 4 km.
Phivolcs said that no aftershocks or damage was expected from the earthquake. /cbb
