All storm signals were lifted as Severe Tropical Storm “Rosita” (international name “Yutu”) moved away from the country, the weather bureau said Wednesday.
The storm further weakened as it remained almost stationary over the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 a.m. bulletin.
Rosita was last spotted 210 kilometers northwest of Dagupan City, with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 120 kph.
Light to moderate rains will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon, Pagasa said.
The storm is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility Wednesday afternoon. /cbb
