Makati issues road closures, traffic rerouting for ‘Undas’
Makati issued on Tuesday an announcementy of road closures and traffic schemes to pave way for “Undas” season from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
According to a My Makati Facebook post on Tuesday, these roads will be closed starting from 12 midnight of Oct. 31 to 12 midnight of Nov. 2:
- Kalayaan Avenue (from Zapote Street to N. Garcia Street)
- South Avenue (from Metropolitan Avenue to J.P. Rizal Avenue)
- Vito Cruz (from South Avenue to Zapote Street)
- Pililia Street (from J.P. Rizal Avenue to Kalayaan Avenue)

Motorists are also advised to take the following alternative routes:
- Those coming from the Guadalupe Area who are going to Manila may take J.P. Rizal Avenue toward destination.
- Those coming from Manila who are going to the Guadalupe Area may take J.P. Rizal Avenue toward destination.
- Those coming from Ayala CBD who are going to Circuit Makati may take Ayala Avenue, make a left turn to Yakal Street, and then make a right turn to Pasong Tamo (Chino Roces Avenue) toward destination
- Those coming from Edsa and Jupiter Street Area who are going to Vito Cruz (P. Ocampo Extension) may make a left turn to N. Garcia Street, right turn to Gil Puyat Avenue toward destination.
- Those coming from Mandaluyong who are going to the Makati CBD may take Makati Avenue toward destination.
- Those coming from Kamagong Street who are going to Jupiter Street may make a right turn to Ayala Avenue, or loop Ayala Avenue or Gil Puyat Avenue, and make a left turn N. Garcia toward destination.
Meanwhile, a two-way traffic scheme will be imposed along J.P. Rizal Avenue (from Pasong Tirad to Makati Avenue) and Kalayaan Avenue (from Pasong Tirad to Zapote Street).
Article continues after this advertisementA one-way traffic scheme will be implemented on Kalayaan Avenue (from N. Garcia Street to Makati Avenue) and Metropolitan Avenue (from South Avenue to N. Garcia Street).

Makati’s Public Safety Department (PSD) will be deployed to manage traffic and assist motorists.
The number coding scheme is also suspended on Nov.1 and 2. /atm
