‘Intel officer,’ 3 others, nabbed in Caloocan buy-bust

Four drug suspects, including a man who identified himself as an intelligence officer, were nabbed in a buy-bust in Tala, Caloocan City early Tuesday morning.

Reports from the Northern Police District (NPD) said operatives from the Caloocan Police Station 4 (PS-4) were deployed after receiving a 911 call on an ongoing drug-transaction along Domato Avenue corner Kaagapay Road in Phase 12 at Barangay 188.

Police said as officers arrested the four suspects who were standing near a waiting shed, suspect Alimona Radiamoda Abbas, alias Make, 37, of Barangay 188, identified himself as an intelligence officer and showed his identification card and mission order.

Also arrested with Abbas were his wife Rebecca Ramos, 39, and two other suspects identified as Joseph Darius Abrasaldo, 20 and Jaymark Villanueva, 24, both from Bagong Silang in Barangay 176, Caloocan City.

Police said that while the ID presented by Abbas has yet to be confirmed, the mission order he showed was already expired as it only covered the period from June 12 to September 12, 2018.  He also failed to show the coordination form from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Further investigation by the NPD also revealed that he also has a pending drug-related complaint filed in 2012.

Four sachets of shabu and two P100 bills were recovered from the couple, while a sachet of shabu each was seized from Abrasaldo and Villanueva.  All of the suspects are now under the custody of the said station, and will face cases for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Abbas will face another complaint for usurpation of authority, based on Article 177 of the Revised Penal Code.  /muf
