PLDT-Smart vows stable connection in areas to be hit by ‘Rosita’
Telecommunications company PLDT-Smart on Monday said it had positioned engineering teams to help ensure stable connection in areas that would be affected by Typhoon “Rosita.”
“Bilang paghahanda, nagposisyon na kami ng mga engineering teams ng PLDT at Smart sa mga lugar kung saan inaasahang dadaan ang bagyo para makatulong siguruhing mapanatiling konektado ang ating mga communication services,” it said in an advisory.
“O kaya naman ay mabilisang maibalik ang serbisyo sakaling maapektuhan o masira ang aming mga facilities,” it added.
The telco also reminded the public to be prepared and to conduct emergency measures.
“Pinapayuhan namin ang mga residente sa mga lugar na ito na sundin ang abiso ng kanilang mga lokal na pamahalaan, at magsagawa ng emergency measures tulad ng pag-iimbak ng pagkain at tubig at paghahanda ng emergency kits,” it said.
Article continues after this advertisementIt noted that they are ready to set up a free call, wi-fi and charging stations to areas that may suffer from the limited or cut-off line of communication and electricity.
Article continues after this advertisementAccording to the latest weather advisory, typhoon Rosita is expected to make landfall over Isabela-Aurora on Tuesday.

Rosita was last spotted at 410 kilometers east of northeast of Casiguran Aurora. It was moving west-southwest direction at 20 kilometers per hour (kph).
It has maximum sustained winds of 150 kph and gusts of up to 185 kph./ac
