Customs Deputy Collector Ma. Lourdes Mangaoang eyes being placed under the Witness Protection Program (WPP) of the government after claiming to receive death threats.

Mangaoang said Sunday that even before she revealed that the four magnetic lifters found in Cavite contained shabu, she had already been receiving threats to her life.

“We will destroy her. We will make her life miserable,” she said in a press conference, quoting some of the text messages she and her friends allegedly received.

According to Mangaoang, she has already drafted the request to be placed under the witness protection program but had no time to personally file it.

“I actually have a prepared letter pero dahil sa pagkabusy ko, dahil wala akong secretary, wala akong mautusan. Hindi ko ma-file yung sulat na dapat finile ko na, requesting protection na sumailalaim sa witness protection program ng government,” she said.

“Hopefully bukas mai-file ko na yung sulat ko,” she added. /cbb
