3.5-magnitude quake jolts Davao Occidental

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

In its initial bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the quake hit 340 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental, at 4:52 p.m.

The tremblor of tectonic origin had a depth of 84 km.

No aftershocks or damage could be expected from the earthquake, Phivolcs said.
