Two robbery suspects were killed in an operation of the Batasan Police in Quezon City early Thursday morning.
A report from the Quezon City Police District said the suspects were killed in a follow-up operation around 2:00 am along San Vicente Street in Barangay Bagong Silangan.
Police said the operation stemmed from a report that the suspects were involved in a robbery incident along JP Rizal Street in the same barangay.
One of the suspects allegedly fired at the chasing policemen, who then shot back, which led to the death of the suspects on the spot.
Police said the suspect named alias “Tangkad” wore a black jacket, pants, shoes, and cap. Another suspect named alis “Kulot” also wore a black jacket, denim pants, a mask and a red helmet.
Recovered from the site of encounter were a .45 caliber pistol, .38 caliber revolver, empty shells, eight sachets of suspected “shabu,” cell phone, sling bag, two scissors, and two motorcycles. /je
