2 bodies of suspected ‘salvage’ victims found in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – Two bodies of suspected “salvage” or summary execution victims were found along the eco-tourism road in Sariaya town in Quezon province Wednesday morning, police said.

Police said the two male victims, who have yet to be identified, were discovered lying along the side of the highway in Barangay Talaan around 6:30 a.m.

Police said one of the victims was wearing a grey shirt and brown shorts, while the other was wearing a multi-colored striped shirt and checkered shorts.

Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police chief, said the bodies sustained gunshot wounds. Guzman did not provide additional details.

Police were still conducting an investigation. /muf
