Soldier killed, another injured in clash with NPA in Camarines Sur

PILI, Camarines Sur – An Army lieutenant was killed, while another soldier was wounded in an encounter with suspected members of the New People’s Army in Bato town, Camarines Sur late Monday afternoon, police said.

The clash happened in Barangay Mainit at around 5:15 p.m., said a report from the Camarines Sur police.

The casualty was identified as 2LT Jason Frederick Pasco, while the wounded soldier was Private First Class Reynaldo Aquino, who is now being treated at the hospital. /muf
