2 drug suspects killed in Laguna buy bust
SAN PEDRO CITY – Two drug suspects were killed in a police operation here early Tuesday.
The suspects were identified as Joseph Santos and Ronald Gonzales, both of nearby Sta. Rosa City. They were on the police drugs watchlist.

Supt. Giovannie Martinez, San Pedro City police chief, said they carried out a buy-bust operation at about 12:40 a.m. in Barangay Landayan.

After the sale of the illegal drugs, Santos suddenly drew a .45-caliber gun and opened fire, prompting Gonzales to follow suit.
Martinez said the police were forced to retaliate.
He said both men lay wounded on the ground. The police rushed them to the Amante Hospital here but were declared dead on arrival. /cbb
