Staff and supporters of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV were gripped by suspense as they await the decision of the court on the non-bailable coup d’état case against him.

The Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 148 has reportedly come up with a decision but as of this posting, Trillanes’ camp is still waiting for the formal communication from the court.

While waiting for the decision, Trillanes could be seen inside his office with his lawyer, Rey Robles, and some officers of Magdalo based on a photo released to the media by his office.

The coup d’état case against the senator, in connection with his role in previous uprisings, has been revived after President Rodrigo Duterte revoked his amnesty through Proclamation No. 572.

Makati RTC Branch 150, which handles the rebellion case against Trillanes, had already issued an arrest warrant against him. But the senator posted a bail of P200,000 to remain free. /kga
