The Senate, House of Representatives, Supreme Court, and the Cabinet have received a “good” net satisfaction rating in the third quarter of 2018, a conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed.
According to the SWS, the survey had 1,500 adults nationwide as respondents.
The SWS survey showed that the Senate’s performance for the third quarter of 2018 was “good” at +48 percentage.
The Senate’s rating increased by seven points from +41 in June 2018, the SWS said.
SWS said the net increase of seven points was due to the rise of satisfaction in Balance Luzon and Mindanao. Those surveyed in these areas gave the Senate an increase of 13 points and 12 points, respectively.
The Senate however suffered a nine-point drop in rating and a one-point rating drop in the Visayas.
In the survey, a +70 rating and above is “excellent”, +50 to +69 is “very good”, +30 to +49 is “good”, +10 to +29 is “moderate”, +9 to -9 is “neutral”, -10 to -29 is “poor”, -30 to -49 is “bad”, -50 to -69 is “very bad”, and -70 and below is “execrable”.
House of Representatives
The House of Representatives, meanwhile, improved in the surveys after it obtained a +36 net satisfaction rating from only +25 in June 2018.
This, the SWS noted, is one grade higher from the previous quarter.
It added that the increase in the grade could be attributed to the rise of satisfaction for the performance of the House from respondents in Balance Luzon and Mindanao with 21 points and 15 points respectively.
However, the SWS noted that the rating of the House of Representatives dropped by 2 points in Visayas and 10 points in Metro Manila.
The Supreme Court also improved its grade as to its performance net satisfaction after it received a +31 net rating.
According to the SWS, the satisfaction rating of the High Court rose by 12 points from only +19 during the second quarter survey of the SWS.
The polling agency added that improvement could be attributed to the increase of the performance of the Supreme Court in all areas where the survey was conducted.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet’s satisfaction rating for the third quarter of 2018 rose from “moderate” to “good” after obtaining a +32 net rating.
The SWS added that the Cabinet’s rating increased by six points from the previous quarter’s survey.
SWS attributed the increase to the rise of satisfaction in Balance Luzon, Mindanao, and Visayas.
However, the Cabinet net satisfaction rating in Metro Manila dropped by 5 points, the SWS said.
The nationwide survey has a margin of error of ±3 percent, and ±6 percent each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
