ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rain over ARMM, Zamboanga Peninsula – Pagasa

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect parts of Mindanao while the northeasterly surface wind flow will affect the Northern Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Saturday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms over the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, (ARMM) SOCCSKSARGEN and Zamboanga Peninsula.

Pagasa has warned residents in the affected areas to brace for possible flooding and landslides caused by the weather disturbance.

Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface wind flow will affect the provinces of Cagayan, Batanes, Isabela and Apayao and will bring cloudy skies with light rains.

Pagasa meanwhile assured that the weather disturbance will have no significant impact over the rest of the country.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain brought by loca thunderstorms.  /muf
