The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced on Friday that a few areas in Manila will be experiencing a scheduled power interruption.
In a Twitter post, Meralco said power interruption will hit parts of Quiapo between Oct. 23 (Tuesday) at 11:30 p.m. and Oct. 24 (Wednesday) at 5:30 a.m. due to “replacement of facilities.”

Affected areas are portion of Recto Avenue from Loyola St. to and including San Sebastian St. and San Sebastian College – Recoletos de Manila.
Meanwhile, power interruption is also scheduled between Oct. 24 (Wednesday) at 11:30 p.m. and Oct. 25 (Thursday) at 5:30 a.m. due to line reconducting works along J. Nepomuceno St. in Quiapo.

The affected areas are portion of J. Nepomuceno St. from Geronimo Santiago Elementary School, to and including Tanduay Distillers Inc.
Meralco also said power interruption in Malate, Manila will also be experienced between Oct. 16 (Friday) at 11:30 p.m. and Oct. 27 (Saturday) at 4:30 a.m. because of line reconducting works along Taft Avenue.

- Portion of Taft avenue, from Pera Hub including Marc 2000 Tower
- STI College-Taft
- Natasha Taft Avenue branch
- Federation of Freedom Workers Building
- Hanseatic Shipping Philippines Inc.
