2 students nabbed in Marikina City marijuana bust

Two students were arrested by police in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Roque, Marikina Thursday night.

Those arrested were identified by police as Cesario Caparas, 18 years old, and a 17-year-old male.

The buy-bust operation was conducted at about 6:00 p.m.,police said.

Seized from the suspects were 23 sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves and and one belt bag. Police also recovered the marked P1,000 cash used in the bust.

Caparas is currently detained at the city police jail while the minor was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Marikina police said in a report.  /muf
