Fire ravages Pangasinan university; classrooms, school records spared

DAGUPAN CITY – A one-hour blaze damaged the University of Luzon in this city on Tuesday night.

was struck by a one-hour fire on Tuesday that started at 9:40 p.m. and which was put out at 10:30 p.m.

University Vice President Aurora Reyna said the fire, which started around 9:40 p.m., was caused by an LPG tank that exploded in the canteen and spread to her office, destroying office equipment and furniture.

The fire, which was put out around an hour later, spared student records, Reyna added.

Classes, however, were not suspended on Wednesday because the blaze did not damage the classrooms. /kga
