Vico Sotto is gunning for the mayoralty post in Pasig City.

Sotto, an incumbent city councilor, filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday. He was accompanied by his parents Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes.

Sotto will run for mayor under the Aksyon Demokratiko party with re-electionist congressman Roman Romulo.

Sotto first became a councilor of the city’s first district in 2016.

Vico will run against re-electionist Pasig City Mayor Robert Eusebio.

The Eusebios have long held the mayoralty post since 1992.  /kga
