TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — A college teacher and a former overseas Filipino worker filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Wednesday morning.

Dominic Olaer Villafuerte, a former councilor of Candijay town in Bohol, is running as an independent candidate for board member in the third district of Bohol.

“Armed with my educational qualifications and various experiences, I believe I am ready to serve the people of Bohol,” said Villafuerte.

“Modesty aside, I have the willingness and determination to serve and make a difference to the Boholano community,” he added.

Villafuerte, 39, said ordinary people should be given the chance to run and serve the public. “People deserve more choices, public service is not only the rich and the privileged,” he said. /ee
