Luzon cloudy with scattered rains
MANILA, Philippines—Parts of the country will experience cloudy skies and scattered rains as a frontal system affects Northern and Central Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.
In its weather forecast Pagasa said that Northern and Central Luzon will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains. Likewise, Southern Luzon and Western Visayas will also experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
A frontal system is a weather system involving one or more fronts, commonly used with extra-tropical storms having warm and cold front regions.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy and will experience isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the East to Northeast with slight to moderate seas,” the state-run weather bureau added.
