Gas station ‘robber’ shot dead in Batangas

SAN PEDRO CITY— A man accused of robbing a gasoline station in Lipa City, Batangas was shot dead in a shootout early on Tuesday.

The police have yet to identify the slain suspect but said that he and another man robbed a gasoline station in Barangay Inosluban around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

According to the Calabarzon police, responding policemen tracked down the suspects who escaped onboard a motorcycle.

The police tried to arrest them but they reportedly opened fire and hit Police Officer 2 Rodoldo Dimaculangan, but he was wearing a bullet proof vest.
