President Rodrigo Duterte has yet to select a replacement for Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher “Bong” Go who filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC)  for senator on Monday.

Go denied reports that lawyer Charmalou Aldevera, legal counsel of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, was already appointed as his replacement.

“Wala pa. Naghahanap pa siya,” Go said in a text message to INQUIRER.net on Tuesday, referring to the President.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo on Tuesday said in an interview over CNN Philippines that Aldevera would be replacing Go.

Asked to confirm, Panelo told INQUIRER.net in a text message, “No idea.”

Go, the President’s trusted and longtime aide, was deemed resigned on Monday after he filed his COC for senator in the 2019 midterm elections. /muf
