Colors of life paint Comelec office Tuesday

Contrasting colors of the supporters of senatorial hopefuls started to paint the street in front of the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila, early Tuesday.

Clad in black, supporters of reelectionist Senator Bam Aquino have started to arrive early Tuesday at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) main office ahead of the senator’s filing of his certificate of candidacy for the May 2019 midterm elections.

Meanwhile, wearing bright pink-colored shirts, supporters of Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano, who is vying for a Senate seat in the 2019 polls, also started to gather before Cayetano arrives at the Comelec to file her candidacy. /cbb
