Bong Go files candidacy with an all-star cast

Bong Go joins 2019 senatorial race

It was an all-star cast on Monday when Special Assistant to the President Bong Go filed his certificate for candidacy (COC) for the May 2019 midterm elections.

Go filed his COC for senator under the ruling party, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), at the main office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Intramuros, Manila.

On top of the list is President Rodrigo Duterte who accompanied his trusted aide inside the Comelec office. Communications Secretary Martin Andanar was also present.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr., and Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano were also spotted prior to the arrival of Go.

Former Tourism Undersecretary Kat De Castro and Deputy Director V of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Arnell Ignacio were also present.

Prospero “Popoy” De Vera III, Commission on Higher Education officer-in-charge, and actor Philip Salvador also went to the headquarters of Comelec to support Go. /ee
