Classes in all levels in Albay province in both public and private schools are suspended on Tuesday (Oct. 16) in anticipation of a mass transport strike.
Albay Gov. Al Francis Bichara ordered the suspension of classes after Condor Piston Bicol has announced its decision to hold a mass transport strike.
“The Condor Piston Bicol had announced their collective decisions of holding a mass transport strike tomorrow,” Bichara, who is also the chairman of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) in Albay, said.
“[The] PDRRMC Albay therefore hereby orders a one-day province-wide suspension of classes in all levels, both private and public schools tomorrow, Tuesday,” he added. /ee
