Easterlies to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms on Sunday
The easterlies will continue to affect the eastern section of the country, the state weather bureau said on Sunday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the easterlies would bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the provinces of Caraga, Davao Region and the provinces Aurora and Quezon.
Pagasa has advised residents in the affected areas to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers but due to localized thunderstorms. /je
