The Light Rail Transit-1 (LRT-1) has enforced a crowd control scheme to address congestion at some areas of the station and promote passenger safety.

In a tweet posted on Friday, the management of LRT-1 said the crowd control scheme would be from 7 a.m to 10 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. when passenger traffic is at its peak.

The passenger flow would be managed in parts of the station such as stairs, Automatic Fare Collection Systems or the Ticket Vending Machines and the platform.

LRT-1 also imposed passenger limit in every platform of the train except for senior citizens, People with Disabilities (PWDs), pregnant women and children. /jpv
