FOUR RACES THIS SUNDAY

FOUR RUNNING events will be held simultaneously this Sunday around Cebu.

These are the Du Ek Sam Run, the Youth Run and two Red Cross Million Volunteer Runs.

Considered the biggest is the Red Cross Million Volunteer Run, which has already attracted almost a thousand runners, according to Vic Jay Gonzal of the Philippine Red Cross.

One red Cross Run will be held in Lapu-Lapu City featuring a non-compeitive 5-kilometer category. The other Red Cross run is set to be held in Cebu City, starting at the Cebu Business Park. The Du Ek Sam Run will start at the Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces while the Youth Run kicks off at the Fort San Pedro in Plaza Independencia.

The simultaneous holding of these four events means that the Cebu running community will be divided this Sunday.  CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
