A fire of unknown origin struck an eight-story commercial and residential building along Soler St. in Binondo, Manila on Friday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

BFP Fire Officer Darwin Dizon said the fire started at 5:49 a.m. and was quickly raised to the third alarm 10 minutes later.

The BFP declared the fire under control at 7:15 a.m.
No one was reported hurt in the incident.
The cause of the fire is still being determined by arson probers. /muf
