Around P3.2-million worth of dried marjiuana were discovered on Wednesday evening inside the house of a drug suspect who was arrested in a prior buy-bust operation in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City.

Reports from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said that suspect Jomel Bernas, 26, from Barangay Batasan Hills, was the target of Batasan Police Station’s anti-drug operations along Ilang-ilang Extension, Area A, Payatas.

After he was caught for selling marijuana worth P500 to an undercover cop, Bernas admitted that there are more stocks of the illegal drug inside a house he rented at Lupang Biyaya Street, Barangay West Fairview.

When operatives went to the house, they discovered 27 kilos of marijuana leaves packed in two traveling bags, which Bernas said was sourced from Mountain Province.

He is facing charges for violating different sections of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /jpv
