Man shot dead in front of Bacoor elementary school

SAN PEDRO CITY-A man was killed while another was wounded in a shooting incident in front of a public elementary school in Bacoor City in Cavite province early Wednesday.

Supt. Chitadel Gaoiran, regional police spokesperson, said victim Emiliano Ilas was onboard a Toyota Fortuner with Arnolito Ilas when the gunmen who were aboard a motorcycle, appeared and opened fire at around 8:30 a.m.

It was not immediately clear how the victims were related. Police have also yet to establish the motive behind the shooting. Emiliano, according to the police report, was “self-employed.”

Gaoiran said the victims were driving towards Dasmariñas City when they were attacked in front the Molino 3 Elementary School in Barangay (village) Molino.

They victims were taken to the South East Asian Medical Center but Emiliano died before he reached the hospital, police said.

An initial police report said one of the gunmen was identified as an alias “Eyoc.”  /muf
