Fire that hit NBP now out — BFP
The fire that hit the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City was declared out, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said on Wednesday.
Fire Officer 1 Elking Lastrilla of the Muntinlupa Fire Station said the fire was declared out at 8:40 a.m.
No casualties so far were reported from the fire incident. Arson investigators have also yet to determine the cause of fire and the cost of damage, he added.
Investigation showed the fire started at 2:58 a.m. and immediately was raised to the fourth alarm at 3:34 am.
According to the BFP, the fire broke out at the handicrafts area of the medium security compound of the New Bilibid Prison. /muf
