Duterte has polyp but it’s ‘benign,’ Bong Go tells senators
Update
A polyp that was found in the intestines of President Rodrigo Duterte is “benign.”
Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri revealed this on Tuesday, quoting Duterte’s trusted aide, Christopher “Bong” Go.
“Sabi mismo ni Secretary Bong Go, yung cancer is negative,” Zubiri said at a press briefing in the Senate.
Zubiri was among the Senate leaders who met Duterte in Malacañang on Monday to discuss legislative matters.

“In other words, he has no cancer,” he added.
In fact, the senator said, Duterte was in high spirits when they met him and was even cracking a lot of jokes.
Zubiri said the President was also very happy that he was seated beside Senator Loren Legarda.
“Tuwang-tuwa sya na may katabi syang magandang senadora at nangako sya kay Senador Loren Legarda na ikakampanya daw sya sa Antique,” he said.
Legarda, whose term will expire next year, has earlier disclosed her plan to seek a seat in the House of Representatives as representative of Antique. /cbb
