2 killed in Pangasinan road accidents

DAGUPAN CITY — A bus conductor and a billiard shop owner were killed on Monday in two separate road accidents in Pangasinan province, police said on Tuesday.

Rolando Perez, 42, fell from his bus and was struck by another bus about 10:30 a.m. in Barangay Tapuac here, said Insp. Enrique Columbino, Dagupan police investigator.

Perez died at 2:10 p.m. while being treated in a hospital here.

Police had filed a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide against Esteves Mamaril, 45, driver of the bus that hit Perez.

In Villasis town, Fernando Dela Vega III, 32, did not reach the hospital alive after the motorcycle he was driving was hit by another motorcycle along the Manila North Road (MNR) in Barangay Puelay at 12:45 a.m.

Police said Dela Vega and his back rider, Dexter Radam, 24, were on the southbound lane of the MNR when a speeding motorcycle coming from a village road suddenly crashed into Dela Vega’s motorcycle.
