Ateneo officials, student body probing harassment case
Officials and student leaders of Ateneo de Manila University have vowed to look into the allegations of sexual harassment made against a male professor on social media.
Ateneo vice president Maria Luz Vilches said the case had already been elevated to the University Committee on Decorum and Investigation which probes cases of sexual abuse.
She stressed that cases filed by victims would be investigated while those responsible would be held accountable.
The Sanggunian ng mga Paaralang Loyola ng Ateneo de Manila, the student government, said it was working closely with the Office of the Student Services in addressing the complaints of victims.
Hyacenth Bendaña, student council president, said the Sanggunian was readying a comprehensive case before the end of the week.
The case will serve as evidence from the student body, she added.
