CABATUAN, Isabela — A 15-year-old boy was killed on Saturday night when a motorcycle driven by his 17-year-old companion slammed into a concrete post in Magdalena village here.

Kenneth James Taires, a resident of Ramon town, died from the accident while the motorcycle driver, Mark Alison Estefanio, was in critical condition at the Cabatuan Family Hospital.

The police said the teenagers were speeding through the Santiago-Tuguegarao road from San Mateo town when Estefanio lost control of the wheel at a sharp curve around 10:30 p.m.

The impact had thrown the teens about seven meters from the crash site. /ee
