The easterlies will continue to affect the eastern section of Southern Luzon and the Visayas, the state weather bureau said on Saturday.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) the easterlies will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain and thunderstorms to the Bicol Region, Eastern and Central Visayas.
Pagasa has advised residents in the affected areas to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain caused by localized thunderstorms. /muf
